Without being a vet, I hesitate giving advice beyond taking him to a vet. It could be something simple, but it could also be a sign of something far more fatal in one so young. I have an older cat who has chronic weepy eyes because of ear problems and allergies. No matter how much we treat it with antibiotics, it always returns due to allergies. If you can't get the little peanut to a vet, gently clean the corners of it's eyes with warm water and a soft cloth. Sometimes these things do clear up on their own as long as the animal is otherwise healthy, but I can't stress enough how important it is to keep those tear ducts from getting plugged. In the meantime, please consider taking it to the vet. It will need to go eventually for it's round of shots just to keep it healthy and free of rabies, distemper and feline leukemia.

Is there discharge and what color is it? Also is the kitten acting otherwise healthy, is it sneezing, or showing any other signs of illness?

A vet visit for an eye infection shouldn't cost much if you can get the kitten in. Most vets can give you an estimate for basic treatment of things and appointment cost.
