August Picture of the Month Contest:  Dining Cats

View media item 159246

The theme for this month is: Cats eating food, or just next to food. The more interaction we see between the cat and the food, the better. It can be dry food, canned, or raw, and even human food. Please think safety first and avoid pictures of cats consuming food that can be bad for their health.

Submissions will be accepted through Wednesday, August 21st

The Rules:
1. Choose the best picture you have for our monthly theme and post it to this thread.
2. Image needs to be clear and not too small. 480 pixels high by 640 pixels wide minimum should be a good enough size.
3. One submission per member please

Our cats are ALL amazingly beautiful! This friendly photo contest is about the way in which the cat is captured in the picture. We're not looking for professional photography, but do try to keep things like image quality, lighting and composition in mind.

Good luck everyone!

Daisy chowing down on an ear of barbecued corn she snagged from on top of the stove.  We've since learned to not leave food unattended or well covered in the kitchen.

This is my Maynard.  I did not pose him like this (this picture is actually a couple of years old).  I was interrupted while trying to put these items away, and returned to find this.....  I don't know which he loves more, the bag that the food arrived home in, or the food itself!!  Yes, he gets baby food; he's rotten, rotten, rotten.

I'm not sure if this counts, but here is Morgana trying to fish out one of her treats  (a Temptations treat) from my drink of water.

She has a habit of playing with her treats on occasion before eating them, kicking/batting them and flicking them in the air, and this one managed to magically land in my glass ~_~ (Ah well, lol) I tossed the water after the pic and gave her a new piece.

Skwisgaar (Black&White) and Toki (Black) eating one of their first meals at home.

It must have been rough out in the wild, because they both refused to share a bowl.
They would cover the bowl with their paw while they ate, to block the other from using the same bowl lol!

Only a few weeks ago :)

Oh okay I just asked because I didn't recognize the kibble and that's understandable if nothing else was open to get food for them. Thanks for saving them do you still have them? and what do they eat now out of curiosity.
