My female cat Ryu about a month ago finished weaning her kittens. Problem was before we could manage to get her to the vet to get her fixed (as I was advised to wait to get her fixed until she wasn't nursing) she got outside and is once again pregnant. (I do have ideas on REALLY good homes for this litter of kittens and every precaution imaginable is in place to keep her inside). The problem is her last litter still attempts to nurse on her and she's too far along to successfully deter them from nursing. Now she wants away from them and they won't leave her alone, how can I get them to leave her be so she doesn't become distressed?

Two different rooms with doors inbetween?   Ie YOU take the responsibility for separating them.   :)

If you dont have separate rooms, you can have her in your bathroom  or a big dog cage.  Both solutions are commonly used by rescuers, who need separate the newcomer from the residents for a while.

Good luck!

Don't have that big of a cage anymore sadly. As for the two separate rooms I tried that with the bathroom that resulted in all cats freaking out for a while until I actually opened the door back up. She did find a box that she seems to feel comfortable in but the kittens keep getting in there (they all have a love of boxes). I probably should have explained what I've already tried in the first place. I tried separate rooms, I've tried the spray bottle, I've repeatedly just picked up a kitten and walked away with it when it starts trying to feed but these cats are a determined bunch... Now I really like the large cage idea, that might actually work, but like I said I don't have one anymore.

How old are the previous litter? I breed birmans and I think it is about time you found new homes for the older ones. It is very difficult to keep them separated, so if they are old enough it is time to part with them even though it is sooo incredibly hard, I get so attached to mine! I hope your problem gets solved soon :)
