Goodbye Ruben

Today we said goodbye to Our Best Boy Ruben. We welcomed him into our family exactly 15 months ago. He had been dumped by his first family and a local vet had rescued him from the pound. There were two most perfect kittens also at the vet that day but my children wanted the skinny cat that let them pick him up. We took the skinny scruffy cat home and he was named Ruben Vegas Warren James. Burt for short. We loved him. We spoilt him and we gave him the best life we could. He was the dearest boy, always by our sides, always a true gentleman. He had intestinal lymphoma. The vet saw him yesterday for a check and agreed that he was still happy and had quality of life and was not suffering. Last night he stopped eating and this morning I knew he was no longer happy and it was time to let him go. Goodbye Ruben. We love you so much. Rest in peace. Xxoo

I'm so sorry. At least he went downhill so fast that you know he didn't suffer. RIP, Ruben. You brought a lot of joy to your family in the short time you were with them.
