Hi, I'm a cat lover and over the past 2 years I've had 10 cats and you may be thinking, wow that's a lot. At first we had two cats, one ginger named Max and one Tabby named Jesse, both were Male. After about a fortnight we got them, when they were about 6-8 weeks, they both got very ill and unfortunately Max passed away as we had a choice of letting him suffer for a few days or put him down to end his suffering. Jesse also got very sick but managed to survive.

About a month later we got two more cats, one named Lilly who is a female ginger and one named Snowy who is a white male, a very good nature, beautiful and loving cat, and to this date has never tried to bite anyone. About 3 months after that we got two more cats, one tabby and one black cat, both were female; the tabby was named Daisy and was very shy, but very loving and always used to lick us just like a dog. A month after that we then decided to give Lilly to my uncle, not because she had a bad nature, but purely because she didn't come to us. A couple of months later we then gave away the black cat (whom we never named) to my uncle, purely because she tried biting us many times and always hid inside the sofa.

(This is a very traumatic moment and is not recommended that anyone who is faint hearted reads this_We now reach the year 2013 and up) till around March nothing had happened for about 6 months. Then one day I came home from school and to my shock my 12 year old brother had found Jesse dead, lying on the road with blood everywhere surrounded by flies and blood over his body. Jesse had been through a lot and was a lovely cat, and the night was a very depressing one. By this point we had Snowy and Daisy left.

About one and a half months late we took Daisy to the vets because her belly started getting bigger and swelling up. When my mum came back from the vets she took some very exciting news with her, Daisy was pregnant! Daisy, just like her sister isn't a regular sized cat though, due to her genes she is a much smaller cat and hate mated with Snowy, a regular sized cat. When she gave birth in late May/Early June at first she gave to a white cat with a patch of grey on his (we think he was a male) head. However the placenta was still inside Daisy's womb and had been there for about an hour and we decided to take her to the vets, and because of this the kitten couldn't reach her nipple and had become dehydrated. The next morning at about 11 o'clock she gave birth to another cat who came out fine and was also a male, this time he was fully white. At about 3 o'clock I went into her room and I found another pure white cat suckling. And a couple of hours later my mum walked in and found another pure white cat! However none of us no which of the two was number 3 or 4. About 2 days later when I woke up I found the first one (the one we wanted to keep because of his patch of grey) dead. It was a bit sad an unexpected but we think he died due to dehydration because the night before he couldn't even suckle, even if we held him right by her nipple. When this happened, we decided to get some kitten milk from the vets to not take any chances. Now Daisy did give birth two 3 pure white kittens and one almost pure white kittens even though she was tabby herself and we thought this was a bit weird and uncommon.

It had been about nine weeks and everything was fine up to then. The second kitten managed to get outside and to this date we have no idea if he drowned because we have a pond outside, or if he got lost and another cat got to him or if someone decided to take him considering white medium length cats like him are rare. On the same day my aunty gave birth and my mother had gone to visit her so it was just me looking for the kitten, whom we never found.

So about a week or two after that had happened Daisy got lost, and I forgot to mention that one night Daisy managed to get out and since she was a small cat (about the same size of a 4 month kitten) she was an easy target to a fox. So this night she managed to get out and we didn't know. My mum heard some weird noises outsize and she went to look. Out the window she saw Daisy just sitting there and there was a fox about two to four meters away from her slowly moving towards her. Daisy being her size was defenceless, like a baby wilderbeest to a lion. However my mum opened the window and scared the fox away, woke me up and we ran downstairs into the garden to bring Daisy inside. Anyway, getting back to Daisy getting lost, we don't know if it was due to the loss of her kitten or what. But we don't like letting her outside at night, or outside at all. We called her about an hour before it got dark and she didn't come. We kept on calling her name throughout the night but she never came. It's been almost two weeks since that happened (at the time of posting this) and she hasn't come back and we imagine that a Fox got to her.

So here we are with out 12-13 week old kitten and our year old Snowy, who they all look alike. So, we've had 10 cats the past two years, three have died, two we gave away and 2 are lost/died/stolen. So as you can tell we have bad luck with cats. And after this very long post, I've got a question to ask, I will also start a new thread on this. Anyways, one of the kittens has a very dirty bottom. It takes about half an hour just to clean his bottom and I know it hurts him and is very sore. Not only that but it is very hard and takes forever to remove the poo but it is stained to his tail and his legs and they are both stained yellow. At the time of writing this he keeps on trying to jump to me but I just don't want him on me and have to take him down. He is a VERY attention seeking cat and has a good nature and loves guests that come into our home. However a day after we clean his bottom it starts to get dirty again and we know how much cats hate water and baths so we try not to give him one, especially because it's very hard and time consuming, it hurts him and he always gets cold and we don't want him to get sick. With all the 10 cats I have never encountered this problem and it has only started happening two weeks ago. His sister had a dirty bottom but she cleaned it and is still clean and she continues to clean that area. However he will not lick himself and we want to be able to get him to start licking that area removing the poo, and we can't get the stain out of his back feet and his tail, but we know him licking himself will eventually get rid of the stains. So after this long post, I ask, how do we get him to clean that area himself. I love him and he always tries to come to us, but the furniture is just stained with poo and there is pieces of poo stuck to his bottom and I don't want him on me getting my clothes dirty, as much as I love him. I've read that putting butter on the are might do the trick, but I would like to use other methods, and if there isn't one I will result to putting butter on his bottom. One of the two kittens, or maybe both usually poo in the litter tray, but sometimes they'll poo next to it. We do usually have 2 or 3 litter trays put down and clean them regularly, so there is some reason for them doing so.

Thanks for your time reading this and I hope I get a solution.
