Proctor and Gamble should not be in the pet food industry. They ruin everything they touch. People freaked when they heard they took over Natura and look what has happened since. Its a sad day for our animals.

OP or moderators, Thanks for the notice but do you think you could add "Eukanuba" to the title, it would make it easier to find this thread in a search.

In other news, once again, P&G scr*ws the pooch. And the kitties, too.

Not that my kittlets ever got Iams, but I'm still smarting over the Natura fiasco.

I'm probably paranoid, and I didn't even go through the 2007 huge recall.  But even with human food recalls, it seems like they only recall/admit as little as they can and gradually add foods over time (I remember salmonella in spinach, then suddenly, it was all leafy vegetables, or something like that -- I don't remember the specifics).  Because of that, even though it says that only the Eukanuba dog food is recalled, I'd want to stop or limit feeding the cat food as well, at least until Eukanuba was 100% clear in both dog and cat food.  I imagine that's the reason kitkaturday wanted Eukanuba in the title, even though only the dog has been recalled.  That said, since the Eukanuba cat food HASN'T actually been recalled, I'm not sure how you would word the title in a way that didn't make it sound like Eukanuba cat food had been recalled. Maybe "P&G (Iams, etc.) kibble recall" would work?  Especially if new foods besides Iams and Eukanuba dog food got added to the list.  On the other hand, that wouldn't make it any easier to find in a SEARCH, which was kitkaturday's reason for wanting the title changed.

Ack!  Obviously, if one were to anticipate other brands being added over time, you wouldn't want a title of something like P&G Iams, Eukanuba, Natura, ???, ??? recall -- because that would get ridiculously long.  Maybe using "recall" as the search and then reading all the recent threads with that word is a better idea than using a particular brand, even if you don't see your brand in the title.
Sorry for the strange winding thought pattern.  In the end, I think you picked the best title.  After all, I don't feed Iams or anything by Proctor & Gamble, and I still came to check out the thread, just in case.

Anyway, recalls are scary things.  It's good to know this forum is quick with information!
