So, it sounds like my little Cindy is going to have to have a colonoscopy so they can see what is up with her colon.  I know how *I* had to prep for mine, and I'm hoping it's nothing like that for my poor kitty.

On a related note, I was pleasantly surprised that the cost is "only" $250 - $500 - I had major worries about that one.  It's not cheap, but in the scheme of things, it's manageable.

This is the first time I've heard of it so I don't have a clue.  I think everything that is done in human medicine is now done for animals.  I would guess that they would have to "clean" her out but I don't know how they go about it.  If someone else here doesn't know would you please come back and let us know.

It's not scheduled yet. The oncologist is consulting with the internal medicine vet and will schedule an appointment for a consultation in the next day or so.  He said they are leaning toward a colonoscopy because they weren't able to get a biopsy of the area (too small of an area).  I will come back with all the details after talking with the vet,

I'm sure the vet will let you know.  I think it's normally just withholding food for 18 hours and they give them an enema before the procedure.
Some vets might have them drink some of some similar  stuff like  humans have to for colonoscopy prep,  but they might not all do that for cats.

I hope not,  I remember my dad said it was nasty!

I know the vet will tell us how to prep, but I was just curious if any one else has been through it.  Your dad is right, that stuff you drink is beyond nasty.  I can't see getting a cat to drink anything similar.
