I woke up a few days ago, feeling like I've punched myself in the face at some point during the night.. it's sore, feels very bruised.

Still sore today.. and upon closer investigation, it feels like an embedded pimple, on the INSIDE of my cheek.. not inside my mouth cheek, but buried deep in there. There's nothing visible and I do feel a little bump that's sensitive to the touch.

I am wondering if this has happened to anyone else? If it doesn't go away, I will for sure go to the doctors to have them check it out.

Sounds like cystic acne.  Common.  I had one years ago.  I used a soap specifically for acne (at the time Clearacil was the in soap) and applied hot compresses several times per day to the area. Eventually the large pimple came to the surface. When it did, it looked like a boil.  More acne soap and hot compresses and it healed up.  Took some time though.

Don't pick at it. Keep the area clean and free of bacteria and oil. Don't try and squeeze it; it will cause pain and could lead to infection and a scar.

I agree don't pick at it, infection could happen.  I get them too, inside my mouth and on other parts of my body (breasts, arms, legs).  I have "popped" them before but it's not a good idea and can not onl invite infection but also leave a scar.  But inside your mouth your probably not worried about a scar.  The one inside my mouth the doctor told me to rinse my mouth with Listerine and that the alcohol would cause the liquid part to come up and then it would clear on its own and that's what happened.

Don't know if this applies to your case - but I've had sores on the gums occasionally and find rinsing my mouth with a little warm water and salt works miracles. Helped Paul just a week or so ago.

thanks all. There's nothing visible or seen on the skin.. its a weird painful feeling.

I'll try salt water and heat compress tonight.
