I had posted on here earlier about the little black Manx kitten I'd found during a hunting trip over the weekend. I brought him home, treated him for fleas and started him on a good diet. His name is now Skinner (I'm a taxidermist/trapper by trade so I thought it sounded fitting!)
Anyhow, I also have a big, 4-year-old male ferret named Dakota. Dakota had been kept with another ferret for several years until she died of old age. I was curious to see how he would do with the cat, so this morning I finally let them into the same room together. Dakota was definitely the "boss" here, but after a bit of chasing around, they finally got to playing with each other. So fun to watch! Last time Dakota was this active was when I had the other ferret with him. I think he kind of likes the companionship of another animal
