Do cats eat well and play if they have a fever?

My kitten feels warm, often, yet he always plays and eats well and seems fine in every other way. Does this mean he DOES NOT have a fever? I am worried about feline leukimia.

Sometimes they will, but usually (not always) they will be more lethargic and not eat or play like normal.  If you're concerned about Feline Leukemia, take him/her to the vet and have him tested.  It's a very easy test and even if he tests positive, he can still lead a great life.  To test temperature, invest in a digital thermometer that goes in the ear.  Normal temp for a kitty is about 100.5º to 102.5º.

If the fever has few days now, he needs medical check up. Keep an eye on his temperature. A site said cat fever is commonly caused by
  • A bacterial, viral, or fungal infection
  • A tumor
  • Injury from trauma
  • Certain medications
  • Diseases such as pancreatitis or lupus
Better to access your kitties last activities, hope the fever just go away.
