Kittens vomiting food?

So, I've noticed that my kittens will sometimes vomit their food. I don't know if it's one or both, and it's ONLY food. No bile or anything just food. I'm wondering if it's because they eat so darn quickly. Their energy is totally normal, they play and run and act like kittens, but sometimes they throw up. They're eating Tiki Cat, Nature's Instinct Frozen raw, Stella & Chewy's freeze-dried raw (with water) and today I picked up some chicken liver and giblets as well as turkey and beef baby food that I'm going to be feeding with raw egg. Is there a way to get them to eat more slowly? If it continues, I will take them to the vet again, but they were just there and had a perfectly clean bill of health. Any ideas?

Eating too fast is the likely reason. I did a little research and some suggestions to slow down eating is to spread their food out on a cookie sheet or tray another idea was to feed them from an ice cube tray.

Another thing to think of is that they may have an intolerance to one of the proteins you are feeding, some cats can't handle chicken. You could try feeding a novel protein like lamb or duck for a week to see if that helps.

If you rule everything else out one thing to consider is the raw food. I am a big proponent of raw and think it is usually the best diet for cats but it seems some cats can't always handle it. My cat Frank vomits pretty much every time he has it. This afternoon I was so excited because we just got primal freeze dried raw in Canada and Frank actually really liked it but he just threw it all up :( Do you notice they vomit more after eating raw? This is most likely not the reason for vomiting since you say they only vomit sometimes but it is another thing to consider if it keeps happening.

No, I think it's just because they eat so fast. It could be that they're allergic to chicken, but I tried the frozen raw beef and they threw that up this morning, so I'm kind of at a loss. I think I'll try feeding them less at a time, and seeing if that helps.

Just now smokey ate and then threw up immediately. I'm going to call the vet tomorrow, and also see if Daisy does it. I fed them separately and he tried to eat hers and I picked him up and I think that's what did it. Ugh... poor guy.

Hmm yes beef often causes reactions. After you get their health checked out I would try just feeding them one protein for a while something like duck, lamb or rabbit.

Unfortunately it's not possible for me to get any of those where I am unless at a very high price.

Mine did that for a while when I first transitioned them to raw. I think eating too fast and hairballs were what caused mine to do that.

How old are they? How long on raw? Do they groom each other?

They're about 4.5 months old, and they've been on a mixture of commercial raw/wet since I got them (about 3 months ago) and this is the first time it's really happened. They act hungry all the time, so I'm not sure. They've been dewormed and checked for parasites and found clean. I'm at a loss.

Forgot to mention, yes they groom eachother. Smokey is short-hair, and Daisy is Medium, but I never noticed any fur in their vomit/regurge

How often are they eating?

If they check out ok at the vet, maybe smaller more frequent meals would help. Sending
they check out ok.

They usually eat like 3 or 4 times a day. They're hungry ALL the time. When Daisy threw up last night there was a bit of bile, and so she's got an appointment at the vet at 1330 today. I really hope it's not a chicken allergy, as that's the easiest meat to get. I would have to start ordering from Hare Today *sigh* Thanks for the good vibes, I hope everything turns out okay. I kind of hope it's a stomach virus or bacteria because it would be the easiest to treat.
