New to the forum!

Hello! (Beware of a long introduction) I always considered myself as a dog person and never thought I would get a cat (especially since my fiancé is slightly allergic, I have 2 dogs and my fiancé is scared of cats). I work for my local SPCA and I just fell madly in love with one of the cats in my care. He's a blue and white tabby and was aged at 1 year when arriving at the shelter. His name was "Yew" and he was diagnosed with IBD. He was in our care for probably 4-6 months until I decided to adopt him! (I snagged him up before he even made it to the adoption gallery) I couldn't even imagine him in any other home except mine

. When I brought him home my husky was extremely hyper focused and was a danger to him. This came as a shock since she was introduced to a friend's 3 cats and did well. It took 4 months of training, stress and keeping him separated from my husky until they could finally coexist peacefully. Now they are best friends/lovers and are constant wrestling, playing, cuddling and grooming each other. His name is Gatsby and he is..approximately 2 years old.

Last month, a pair of kittens were returned from their foster home and were awaiting their spay surgeries. The moment I saw her, I fell in love! Her shelter name was Megumi and her sisters was Mariko. Her sister is this beautiful Siamese/ snowshoe mix with striking blue eyes, long legs and slender body. Then there was megumi.. Listed as a Siamese mix, short stubby legs, short tail, round head, short neck and very chubby. I couldn't resist her face and swore to myself I would never get a kitten since my adult cat was crazy active but she was not very energetic but sweet as can be. Her new name is Olivia and I'm obsessed with her!
