Greetings to all,

After browsing the forums often for many less pressing questions, I finally joined up last night when we had a distressing and dangerous accident in the home involving an essential oil spill and possible exposure - I confess I was panicking a bit, even after talking to the vet. Today things have calmed down enough that I felt I should swing by and properly introduce myself, since I went right into "Help, help!" mode last night.

We're a family of four, two humans and two cats, in a technically urban setting that might as well be the deep woods, considering all the creepy crawly critters that pass through our doors (and walls, and sometimes windowscreens...!). P and B are 11 and 9, big and little, male and female, respectively...picture posted below for your viewing pleasure. Both are rescue cats, P straightforwardly from a shelter and B from gangrene, by which I mean she turned up in my yard at 5 weeks, too tiny and starved to hunt, injured and missing most of her tail with a nasty infection in what was left of it. Several minor surgeries later, she was on the road to becoming the snuggly, demanding little beast she is today. P has been a good big brother, although he was distinctly put out at first to learn that his treasured only-kitty status was no more (but rest assured, he is not spoiled the less for it).

Well, that's our story! Hopefully from here on out I'll have more positive, social posting habits than my first moment of panic

Hi and welcome! Glad to have helped during your panic attack.

Aw, nice story. Thank you for being an angel and rescuing these two! They are sweet.

Hi, welcome to TCS!  Your cats are beautiful.  I love the "chair sharing" picture.
  Bless you for rescuing them.
