You need to take her to the vet. I do not know much about granuloma but according to the Wikipedia page it has many cause so it would be difficult to tell if she has an underlying disease that could be passed to the kittens (http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eosinophilic_granuloma). It is often apparently caused by an allergy so I don't think in that case the kittens would get it. Because she is ill I would really consider getting her spayed because another pregnancy will be hard on her. I know spaying is less common in Egypt but it is something to talk about with a vet. Good luck!

I wouldn't worry too much about her passing it onto the kittens through milk. Eosinophilic granuloma is usually cause by an allergic reaction, certain types of parasites, or is hereditary. I wouldn't worry about her dying from the granuloma itself. If she gets sick, it would be because she got a secondary infection because of scratching or irritating the granuloma.

Getting her to the vet would be the best way to combat this. I'm not sure how much differently they would treat her because she's nursing, but they'll usually give her a shot, then send you home with antibiotics just to make sure she doesn't get a secondary infection.

There ARE home remedies you can try out later if it pops up again and you're comfortable with it. I haven't personally looked too in depth or tried any because my boy only has his pop up about once a year.

My cat has that as well. It is treated with a steroid injection which lasts for about a month. Sometimes it takes repeated injections. It is not contagious so unless it is bothering the cat (sore/painful or interfering with eating) or getting bigger, I would just leave it alone.

I don't know that much about them other than it's okay if you can't get treatment right away.  I have heard about the things going on in Egypt on the news, please stay safe.

I'm sorry things are so chaotic in Egypt and you can't get her to a vet because of the curfews. :vibes::vibes::vibes: that things settle down there soon. We've been following developments there on the news.

Can you get fish (salmon) oil capsules there? Our last cat had a "rodent ulcer" which was treated with cortison injections, but I joined a German EGC group after that and many people recommended giving one 500 mg. capsule daily when the condition was acute, and later one 500 mg. capsule weekly to prevent a recurrence. I tried it the next time he looked like he was developing an ulcer on his lip, and it worked, so after that he got one capsule a week. All you have to do is pierce the capsule and squeeze the oil over her food. Good luck, and keep us updated.
