So Mishi finally got spayed today. I was asked to take her home soon after the surgery as we are having traditional Eid holidays across the country right now. He asked to bring her tomorrow for some meds.

Its been 5 hrs and shes still sleeping, sometimes with eyes open. Maybe due to anesthesia?
She wakes up, struggles to stand up and crawl or move. Meows in a loud cry and goes back to sleep in whatever position she is.

Is this normal? How long till she stands up and moves properly?

I miss the old her. :(

This is normal when they're coming out of anesthesia. Keep her in her carrier, ideally (a small room with all sharp/hard surfaces covered or removed could work if you don't have a good carrier) because when she starts to walk she'll walk into walls and fall down stairs and stuff, and will not respond to you trying to keep her safe, might even panic when you touch her. Usually the vets keep them until they're reasonably recovered, so most owners don't see this stage of recovery. But it is perfectly normal. Personally, I would cover her carrier and leave her alone the rest of the night (that's what they do if she stays at the vet's office). She should be fully recovered by morning.

If you've ever had full anesthesia you might be familiar with this process :tongue2:. AlthoughI think the doctros give you something extra to keep you in bed.

Oh thanks a lot. She's started walking. First she was walking using the balance from walls. But now she walks fine, just a bit slow.
Her one eye is closed, and seems watery. Other thing is she's not using her litter box. She's peeing at a corner in one room. So placed a towel there. I thought of moving the litter box there but then i thought it might be hard for her to get into the litter box.
I'm just wondering will she be using the litter box after she gets fine and normal? I hope so.

Give her some time and she'll be okay.  If you have an old cake pan or some kind of cake-like tray, you can use that for a temporary litter box.  The sides are lower, so it should be easier for her to get in/out of.  She may be doing that because she is disoriented from the surgery and anesthesia.   Keep a close eye on her.
