Our cat seems to have come down with a head cold. He started sneezing on Monday, wouldnt eat or drink. Tuesday he was back to his old self other than he kept sneezing. He is all stuffed up and keeps licking his nose. He is eating and drinking and still playing with toys and such. No lethargy at all.

We cant afford to take him to the vet until next Friday. Is there anything I can do for him at home?

keep a extra eye on him one of the members on here suggested to me is put the cat(s) in the bathroom and run the hot water to steam it up to help with the mucus etc like we do are selfs i havent done it due to plumbing issues i hope that works

also if he dont want food try making him tast it cats smell there food first before they take a bite even if you put his fav down he wont touch it since he cant smell it

and what are you feeding wet or dry or both? also dont give any dairy products it makes the mucus etc worse i herd and plus cants cant really digest it

if wet add a little water so he dont dehydrate and stick some on his tongue with his plate in front of him show him the food you pick up before putting it in his mouth if he dont eat on his own put a little more in his mouth tell half his gone then try again in a few hours you dont want him to starve the food will hel him get better if using your hand to make him eat wont work get a baby oral med syring sold at any pharmacy and use that

if its dry soak the dry tell its wet were you can smash it into a wet food and do the same as wet

good luck

all 20 of my cats started out like that on sat and by monday morning all of them had eye goop etc and congested i took one cat in and got clavamox

It's possible it's allergies, especially if your weather has changed recently.  Be sure he continues to eat, drink, and use the box normally.  If he stops eating, get him to the vet sooner rather than later.  You can warm up wet food in the microwave or a warm water bath.  Add a bit of water to make it like oatmeal.  Warming helps enhance the aroma and entices the kitty to eat.  Steam him in the bathroom as many times a day as you can.  Get the bathroom nice and steamy, shut off the water and bring kitty into the bathroom.  Sit with him (or play with him) in the steam until the steam dissipates.  (It's a spa treatment!)  You can also use saline drops in his nose to help.  We've used a product called "Little Noses" successfully with out kitty.
