World Cat Day, also known as International Cat Day, is celebrated throughout the world on August 08, 2013. It was founded in 2002 by the International Fund for Animal Welfare (IFAW) and other animal rights groups.

Golly... it's evening here.. I nearly missed it! 

I shared some treats with the strays I see when I walk the dog in the morning (although my doggie did not appreciate it at all)   . By sharing I mean putting the bits of meat and chicken a few feet away from them. They eat the treats after I pass them by. The poor strays are skittish around people. 

 I love cats but right now Bella & Thunder are enough for us.

I feel a need to celebrate -   It's nearly 10-30 pm here and not much evidence of strays around my home that I could go out and feed so Mouse may get an extra snack!
