I have asked to do the question of the day today. And since it is 12:15 here, today has started

I am going to do this differently today.  You have your choice of one of two questions.

What is the most expensive thing you have ever driven, piloted, steered or ridden?

                                                OR

What is the most unusual thing you carry everyday in your purse or wallet?

The only rule is you must be able to prove either if asked by a court of peers.

In keeping with my contrarian ways I am not going to put my answer down first. I am going to take a shower and go to bed. When I get up in the morning, I will tell you while drinking a cup of coffee with a little Kahlua in it.

Have at it, let's see what strange things we can come up with.

Well, I don't drive so I can't answer that one and I don't carry a purse anymore so I guess I'm out on today's question.

That would probably be kanthal resistance wire. I use it to replace the heating element in my e-cigarette's atomizer. I also have a small roll of glass fiber for the same purpose.

Is this all? I guess I am a Thread Killer.

Since I am the OP, I am making my own rules. I am going to answer both questions.

The most expensive thing I have ever steered was a Sturgeon class nuclear-powered attack submarine.

The most unique thing in my wallet ate two $1 bills, one with six 4s in a row, and one with five 2s in a row in the serial numbers.

The point I was going to make is: No matter how much the item you drove cost, or how unique the item you had in your purse/wallet, the most precious and unique things in our lives are our children, whether human or furkids.

I know someone on here who can beat that. I guess I gave my answers too soon. I should have waited longer for more people to post. BTW, what you carry is very unique.

I used to be involved in cars, so the most expensive car I ever drove was a 1931 Cord L-29 Phaeton Sedan Convertible. Very pretty car, very unusual in that it is a front wheel drive car.

OOO, nice. I love Cords. I see they sold one last year for $2.4 million.

ACDs are nice. Ever get a chance to go to their big meet in IN? I haven't, but I've seen pictures. Looks amazing!

I carry a round flat stone my husband gave me when he was drunk lol (we only drink maybe 2 or 3 times a year) He saw it and gave it to me because he thought I'd love it lol. I have carried it on me ever since and it's been at least 5 years closer to 10 I think. Maybe one day I will need it to throw at a criminal or something, who knows!

Good questions!

I guess for me it would be my Subaru.  Not very exciting.  DH said the K-loaders they use to load cargo on planes when he was in the military.  His work truck comes next.  That's a little more interesting!

The most interesting thing in my purse...  Teething tablets.

I answered both questions since I don't really have an interesting answer to the first!

I've never really driven a fancy car before, but if small airplanes count, then count me in! I'm not a pilot, but an old ex was, so I was able to spend a lot of flight time time learning how to fly small planes with him and his pilot buddies (Mostly Beech Duchess and Cessnas). It was a lot of fun, and such an incredible experience! (The only exceptions to the "fun" being the times I flew with Foggles on...that was a bit nerve-wracking!) Funny side note: I'm not the best at parking cars, but I could take off and land a small plane surprisingly well and smooth! :lol3:)

I have some vague memory that some ferry boat operator let me "steer" when I was a kid, but I don't have any photographic proof or anything. Otherwise, I dunno, pickup truck? Cargo van? they probably cost more than my Civic :tongue2:.

I don't carry a purse, but I'll say that the most unusual thing I carry is a spare house key and car key in the zippered change compartment of my wallet. Why? Because I lock myself out of my house/car ALL THE TIME!!! :lol3: I don't think that's so unusual but I have had several people comment on it so I guess most people don't keep spare keys in their wallets ;).

I guess it would be my pointe shoes, with rosin, my toes pads (Ouch Pouches), and needles, threads and matches (Needle/thread for swing ribbon and elastic, and matches to prevent the cut ribbon from fraying). Granted, I have recenty since gotten a bigger dance bag so those specific items have switched carriers! So that probably doesn't count anymore
At any rate, these things are very important to me (Can't do much dancing without them!) and ballet overall is very precious to me, just as much as my beloved animals. It's my livelihood. Just like my pets I can't live without it

The most expensive thing I've ridden in would be a commercial jet. I would love to learn how to fly but haven't done that yet.

The most unusual thing I carry in my purse is a rose quartz crystal.

I like your idea of linking two questions together
.  And I agree, babies of all kinds are the most precious things.

My wallet has a spare house key and truck door key in a zippered compartment, too.  All it takes is one $60 emergency locksmith call to learn that lesson.

Good for you. The first time I was ever up in an airplane the owner let me fly it a little bit. I have flown a Cessna 172, a Cessna 150 and a Mooney 21.
