cat is going poop on the couch.

I need some help!! My kitten is about 7 months old, she is already neutered. She has recently started pooping on our couch in the living room. She has done it about 6 times in the past month! I cannot figure it out! It is driving us nuts! She also has bad gas at times where we have to move her to the floor if she is sitting with us! We have 2 cats and 2 litter boxes and I really don't understand what to do. They haven't had any food changes recently. What does this mean? What should I do? Any help is appreciated!!!!

You need to take your cat to the vet. Inappropriate pooping (especially with gas) is a sign of physical illness. Make sure you tell the vet what is happening so that she will know what to look for. A general medical check-up will not detect gastrointestinal problems.
