Hello! June 30th my sister rescued this kitten on the road and gave her to me as an early birthday present. It took us about an hour and a half to wash her and kill all the fleas. Poor thing was so stressed out she slept the whole way home (we live about 45 mins away from my parents). I took her to the vet first thing the next morning and vet said that although she was underweight and temp was a bit low, she was healthy and about 5 weeks old. I am glad to say that in the first month, she had gained almost one pound! She is extremely active when she's not sleeping. It drives me bonkers when she plays in her litter without actually 'going' afterwards.
We named her Nyuna which means 'Tiny' in Russian because that was the situation. Of course she sometimes gets referred to as a little cow since she is black and white just like my parents dog who is the original little cow (named Cookie). They have already had several sleep overs and are thankfully able to cope with each other playing and sleeping in the same room.
I am so glad that I found this site because I had never had a cat before due to my mother's allergies, but my husband had a cat that is still with his parents. We had a couple hiccups in the beginning but TCS has been so helpful. I decided to join the site so I can comment and post for any future needs.
