can't be that long ago.. someone here did fix the eyes on him for me, lol. I had submitted it for a photo contest here!

People figure photos on the Internet are there for the taking. Somebody on a German pet forum contacted me once to let me know that a member of a French forum was using Jamie's photo. Sure enough, it was definitely one of my photos of him. I wonder whether she didn't have a camera, or didn't have a cat? I had to let the forum admins know.

I sure wouldn't post anyone's pictures. I would contact the site admin and tell them someone has posted a copyrighted picture. You own the copyright to any pictures you take.

Not me...I have enough of my own cats:S...but I um...have no idea how to submit pics in general.

What I would like to know is why he got 12 thumbs down?! Lol

I don't mind the photo being on the site. I did contact the site and asked them to put my name on it at least.. I can prove the photo belongs to me.

I'm interested in their response. You'd think such a large website would know better than to just take pictures without getting the owner's permission.

I don't think its the admins of the site themselves who found the photo. Members submit the photos and admin reviews. I don't think admin has any idea of who owns the photo or where it came from and trusts the users who uploads the photos.

but I will let you know what they say.. ticket says someone should get back to me within 2 days

Makes me afraid to post any pictures on an internet site. 

I admit- I've "shared" a few pictures on facebook.  But never anything where it's a picture of someone's kid, animal, home etc

there's certain photos I won't post on public places.. photos that's intended for my portfolio use or projects for other people. Photos I don't mind being shared (With credit of course) I'll post

It is a truly great shot.... I remember it from when we had the awkward cat photos comp .Whoever pinched it got the one without the 'spooky eyes'.

I got a response.. they said they'd be happy to credit the photo to my name, after I had to prove the photo was mine (I linked them to this site and where i've posted the photos so they can see the dates). They want to verify which name I'd like to use, so I told them my full name.

NOW they want proof. :lol3: Seriously - glad they're going to take care of it.
