Hi folks.
Haven,t been here in a while.
We have recently been told that our cat may have diabetes, but i,m not totally convinced, because what i,ve heard/read about some clinics, maybe even vets, that make stuff up so they can justify a large bill.
Has anyone else ever heard of this because i thinks its depicable!
Since i wasn,t totally convinced about my cats condition,(which came from talking on the phone to a vet).
I,ve also read that if the cats diet is changed ,he/she can mange the diabetes much better, and in some cases it can even go away.
Again ,has anyone ever heard of this being true ?
Right now i will be looking for a diet high in protein, and low in carbs.I,m pretty sure this is the best way to go from now on as far as our cats diet is concerned.
Thanks..over..and out...
p.s. my cat does not drink excessively, has a good apetite. Is very well behaved, and enjoys playing with string. If anything she may be just bored. She was prescribed something called "Diabetese" years ago,but it became too expensive. $31/case of 24,now its $50 CA case of 24.
