Mentioned a problem I've been having with my cats elsewhere, figured I should introduce them as well since they're so awesome!
Mabel is 3, and has been with us since she was just a few months old. We got her at the Bloomington Animal Shelter (you may know them better as that awesome shelter that fellow Bloomingtonian Lil' Bub raised a lot of money for), where she was annoying all the other sleeping cats in her area. She's pretty well known for her super high pitched *meep* of a meow, and she loves chasing bugs or playing fetch. Her Facebook, should anyone want to friend a cat, is https://www.facebook.com/mabeladelaide
Toby is 11, and he too comes from Bloomington, though not from a shelter. He had a loving family with two other cats and a dog and loved his life, but then they had human children and Toby just wouldn't stand for that since he loves being the center of attention. They tried a lot to make things work, but finally decided he'd be better off with a family without children, and that's how he came to us! Toby is a huge cuddlebug, and will often climb right up on your chest and meow in your face, with his meow sounding the opposite of Mabel's (if she's a meep, he's more like an old gravely smoker's voice of a meow). He likes to go into "frenzies" where he gets himself super excited and then jumps halfway up a door frame. He also loves being carried around and will jump into our arms so we can walk him around the house looking out windows. We also recently found out that he loves nearly all veggies...though obviously we keep them dressing free! But if you leave a salad unattended, Toby will quickly put that salad in his stomach! Toby's Facebook is https://www.facebook.com/TobyLeopold
His tail is just too awesome:
And here's a picture of them being friends. They started off on iffy terms because Mabel is very territorial for a spayed female and Toby was used to getting his way (I guess his fellow cats used to bathe him at his old house) and Mabel wasn't about that at all. But over time they've really come together as a pair and now they get along very well. Their favorite thing to do lately is go outside in our fenced in back yard and stare at the neighbor's dog. Mabel keeps her distance and is kind of spooked, but Toby chases it all along the fence and acts real tough!
