My female cat went into labour about 2 hours ago and has already given birth to 4 gorgeous kittens, my only concern is I can still see kittens moving around inside her and she's showing no signs of pushing at all.it's almost like she's just given up. Is this normal for a cat to do? Also this is her first litter and she's cleaned every kitten off but never chewed through the umbilical cord so I've had to cut each one.
I'm just mostly worried that the unborn kittens might be in danger or it normal for the mum to take a short break inbetween?

So long as she isn't actively pushing or laboring then it is okay for there to be a break in between. But, if she pushes or contracts for more than 30 minutes without delivery then you want to get her to the vet's immediately. If you have to, take her to the local emergency animal hospital, as it is a life threatening situation.

Thank you, at one point I thought I might have to take her to the emergancy vets, but she finally had all her kitten and they look healthy.
