I'm addicted to certain reality shows.  My list:

Deadliest Catch

Dance Moms

Lizard Lick Towing

Fast N Loud

Street Outlaws

Breaking Amish

Hoarders

My Cat From Hell

Call of the Wildman

The Voice

Shipping Wars

Storage Wars

Kitchen Nightmares

Cake Boss

Best Ink

Beyond Scared Straight

And pretty much any docudrama and Lifetime chick flick I can find.  I also still love Little House on the Prairie (stop snickering).  I mean why watch the depressing news and get angry/sad when you can ENJOY TV???

Now you can all either make fun of me or admit to your own list of addictions.

I don't know a single one of those shows, but then I'm in Australia...

If I'm looking for light entertainment I don't really go for reality stuff.

To completely zone out I love very silly Enlish comedy shows:

Mock the Week

Would I Lie to You

QI (Quite Interesting)

and the light WhoDunnits like Midsommer Murders and all the BBC Miss Marples and Poirots.

I don't watch reality tv at all.

My favorite shows right now:

Supernatural (has been my top favorite for going on 8 years now)

Cooks Country TV

America's Test Kitchen

Bones (but I keep forgetting that it's now on Fridays)

I like Elementary, but keep forgetting to watch it (and most of the time I'm asleep anyway)

Since it's summer and everything is in reruns, I've been watching METV at night: Mary Tyler Moore, Bob Newhart, Dick van Dyke, The Odd Couple, Night Gallery (when I can stay awake for it), and on Saturdays, I try to watch Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea (I used to watch it with my dad when I was a kid), but usually fall asleep long before it ever comes on at midnight.

I hardly watch any kind of TV. If I do, I like the Investigative Discovery channel. That is all shows about detective stories, unsolved mysteries, etc.

I watch only one reality show--Deadliest Catch.  Now that's some true reality right there, folks, they risk life and limb every show. But I find most reality shows so contrived, I can't take them. Otherwise, I watch  lot of sports. I enjoy historical documentaries, but they're harder and harder to find. Everyone has sold out to the reality craze-- even the so-called History Channel. Oh well, don't see that changing soon.

So, Colts2Broncos-- whose your fav Captain on Deadliest?

Since we lost Cap't Phil, it was to be Sig and the Northwestern.  Used to like Jr until his antics this season and Elliot just need to GO.  What about you?

My thoughts exactly on all three. I also to get a big kick out of Wild Bill. He tends to have a lot of hard luck so I gotta root for him!

Now I didn't like him at first but he has really grown on me and I have come to really like him.  I wish Jake A would go back to the NW but being on the Cornelia would be good too.  Did you ever think about how blasted you would be if there was a drinking game for Elliot?  Every time he bragged about being a boat owner, you do a shot... OMG I'm so sick of listening to him.  Now he claims to hate his job.  Then why did you buy the stupid boat moron!!!!!

Yeah, Elliot is clueless, and and can never get himself a crew that can stand him.

My favorites are Bones and Castle, although I'm peeved at both shows right now.  Both couples have been through a lot, finally got together and now have had a lame new obstacle thrown at them.  In Bones, its (another) serial killer.  In Castle, it's a career issue.

Why can't they show happy couples and have the drama come from solving the crimes?

I started to watch The Mentalist but got annoyed when sporting events preempted it, making it start at 10:15 or 10:30.  I'm too tired by that time, so I got out of the habit of watching it.

Yeah, the seasoned caps won't intentionally compromise crew safety. Heck, enough danger comes right out of nowhere! But Elliot and Jr.-- safety not such a big a priority as making a name for themselves.  God forbid they should get a crew killed in the process.

I know it!  Some of those waves are unreal, but I think the ice is worse.  I can't breathe what the TB sent guys to watch and make sure that the ice wasn't breaking the hull last year before the rebuild.  That would scare the life out of me.

I loves me some Freddie, hardest working man I ever seen!  I know he will honor his promise to Jake H and be his bait boy for a season.  But he'll head back for the Wizard after that.

I watch a lot of the shows on ID and NGW

Both of the Hoarder shows  Their both in reruns now, one on Lifetime and the other on DFH.

My Cat From Hell which I think is between seasons now.

American Greed: Scams, Scoundrels and Scandals on CNBC

There is a new series starting on Starz on Aug 10.  I don't remember the name of it but it's about the women who played a part in the royal families of Europe when royal families actually ran things. I am going to check that out.   It seems like the good shows are moving to the premium channels or Netflix which is sad because cable bills are high enough without them.  I know I can't afford to buy all of them. I only have one package of them which includes Starz.

I watch

Naruto Shippuden

M.A.S.H.

Spongebob Squarepants

Adventure Time

Chopped

Parks and Recreation

My Little Pony Friendship Is Magic

Black Butler

As an adult I enjoy cartoons much more than most live shows, not all of the cartoons I watch are for kids even though some of them are totally childish.

I watch full TV series mostly through Netflix.  I've seen 3 episodes (I think) of Dr. Who and:

Charmed -- stopped when it became clear that Cole really wasn't coming back

Continuum (but did not continue with the series as the newer episodes are not on Netflix)

Persons Unknown

Alphas

Mythquest

Sliders -- stopped at the third season because my favorite character died and the replacement irritated me

Revenge (planning on continuing it when it comes out in September, assuming I can find access to the newer episodes -- might just be on my PC).

Awake

Harper's Island

Now, I'm making my way through The Event

I use dice to pick which series I'm going to watch next.  If that doesn't seem interesting, I roll again.  Between my preference of watching whole series from the beginning and the low cost, I have a Roku player and Netflix.  I have cable up to August 11, but after that, I won't.  I don't like reality shows.  In fact, the more unrealistic, the better :).  So far, my favorites have been Persons Unknown, Alphas, Revenge, and Harper's Island, and of those, Persons Unknown and Revenge are my favorites -- I'm really upset that Persons Unknown got canceled.  I thought about writing fan fiction to continue it, but I don't feel like I know what's going on well enough.  I also really liked Twin Peaks when it was on, although I hated the final episode.  I also didn't care much for the movie.
