I taped Ghostbusters II a few weeks ago and decided to watch it tonight.

I barely remember the first movie, but I suspect it was better than the sequel. Some movies should stop at just one!

Anyone else seen this?  Did you find it funny and entertaining?

What about other movies with sequels that should have stopped at the first one?

The first movies are always the best ones. I agree just like Beverly Hills cop. They are making another one by next year.

I'd liked Raiders of the Lost Ark and Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade (#1 and #3 in the series).  #2 stank but the fourth one was OK.  They were obviously setting things up for the torch to be passed to a younger generation and I think Shia LeBeouf would do a good job.

I also liked the first and second Mummy movies.  I like Maria Bello but she just didn't pull off the character like Rachel Weisz.

I am really excited about the new Star Trek reboot.  The new actors have nailed all their characters.

I love both Ghostbuster movies! I've heard that a third one is in the works.

But you're right, most sequels don't meet up to the original. Except The Godfather 2...I think it is one of the best sequels of all time.
