I've moved your post to its own thread. There's a tutorial on how to start threads, etc., here: Discussion Forum Tutorial You can find other "how-to tutorials" by clicking on "FAQ" at the bottom of any page.

Could you make a sand pit (or use a sandbox) for them in the yard so that they stay out of the garden? You could fill it with dirt, sand, litter or a combination thereof. There's also an additive called Cat Attract that you could put in with whatever you use in the outdoor litter box. It's sold at pet stores and a number of places online.

Thank you for helping them.

The sand box is a good idea.  I wasn't sure if you said you tried to clean the porch but if they are using a porch, you can put a litter box there.  You can use sand or regular litter in it.  If you use litter, put a light covering of regular dirt over that for the first few weeks.  The cats are used to going in the dirt and this will help them understand what the litter box is for.  The Cat Attract is an excellent product that will also help them learn to use the litter box.

Make sure both kitties are fixed soon.  Otherwise, you're going to have more kitties outside than you know what to do with!
