Hello i use to feed my cats Orijen dry food but since crisis hit Greece so hard some pet shop owners told me about catlover's gold food that it costs less than orijen.

Does anyone know any info about that food ?

The second ingredient is whole brown rice, and it also contains flaxseed, brewer's dry yeast and garlic. It looks to me like they are primarily a dog food company.

I will take it upon myself to research what else is available in Greece. I will let you know later today.

I apologize for not getting back to you sooner. I have been having computer troubles.

I found one brand called Family Friendly and another that has Gourmet on the pouch.

I am amazed at how few foods are available there. I see that most cats in Greece are outdoor cats that eat a lot of fish from the cat-friendly fishermen.

Perhaps one of our members in Greece will be able to help more than I could.

The food you are giving is much better than a lot of the cats there are getting. I looked at the Greek Cat Rescue site and will have those images in my head for a long time.

Thats my broblem. Origen and applaws was the best dry food i use to give to my cats. Im going to finish the bag i have og catlovers gold and i thing im going to return to orijen again which is 7.5 kg 50 euros.

As for the cats in Greece is quite like you find out but there are a lot of people that haves cats on their houses and they also take care the strays too by feeding them nutter them and take them to vets that do not charge for strays.

Let's see. 7.5 kg costs 50 euros. If my math is correct, that equals $67 US for a 16 lb. bag. Were you using the grain-free cat and kitten formula? That is $57 here. Actually, the prices pretty much are the same here as there on all the Orijen.

Buy what you can afford. It does not help your cat if you stint yourself to feed her top quality.

I return to Orijen. Wow they love it so much. They have so much energy now they play twice as much. That food is a miracle.
