Hi All, I have noticed a pinkish lump on my kittens belly. He was sick when we got him. Had fleas, kitten upper resp. infection and pink eye. I also have another cat that is 15 months old. The kitten got my other cat sick and I can't get him well. They have both been to the vet and had shots, boosters for the older. The older cat is so sick right now and is on a long lasting antibiotic... I have since noticed the kitten has some sort of pink lump on the underside near the rear and now my older cat has it as well. What in the world could this be?? Thanks!

i heard booster shots can make cats sick and what brand of food are you feeding it could be an allergy and do they have flea worms etc?

I see you have two posts on this going...I've asked that they be merged so it's not so confusing, but in the meantime, since it appears that BOTH of your furbabies have this, to me that would indicate that it is something that is either biting them, or something contagious.  I'm thinking it might be bug bites.  You stated in your other thread that they've been to the Vet...did you mentioned these bumps at the time, or is this something new?

Have you  noticed any fleas or any evidence of them.  Also, since you found a picture of a dog with similar bumps, where do you get the picture?  Was it on a dog forum?  What was causing them on the  dog?  Could be the same thing.

I know food can cause allergies, but, honestly, I have heard of it actually causing bumps like that, nor would it be likely to effect both cats that way.  Are these bumps just on their tummies, or are they actually all over them but you can just see them on their tummies where perhaps there is less fur?

I think another Vet visit may be in order, or at least a call to them.

BTW, if your older cat is on long term antibiotics, are you giving her probiotics to offset the ill effects of the antibiotics?  It might be a good idea.  Just be sure to give them a few hours apart.  We give our furbabies the same ones we take.  I just open up the capsules and sprinkle right into their food.  They each get 1/2 capsule twice a day.

I need to edit my post to say I have NOT heard of food allergies causing little bumps like that

Best to go to a vet. I agree that if they both have them that is a red flag to me that it may be contagious.  It could also be bites as mentioned above, or it could be something way more nefarious like cancer. Please go to a vet.  I don't know what to tell you to do without more information, information that a vet could provide.
