I lost two more kittens last night. It happened so fast. I checked and cleaned cages, and feed and within an hour and half, they were so far gone. Vet said fading kitten syndrome? So I took the remaining two in for their deworming, and one kitten is off the bottle, eating solid food, but Teddy Bear is alot smaller in weight. Vet did another fecal and said he had alot of fat(from KMR), but he's not digesting his food properly, he's doing it too fast, and he's not getting his nutrients. He recommended that I give him KMR once a day no more than 4 tablespoons. He wants me to put him on a kitten food like Science Diet, canned, and mix it with water and baby cereal oatmeal, and give this mixture in a bottle, and not focus on weening him til he's gained weight. I need to slow his gut down. Anyone delt with something like this? The big one is going home to his Mommy's Thursday, and she's taking him to her vet that day. I'm keeping Teddy Bear. He also recommened that I don't test for lukemia and aids til they're several months old. Test could be innaccurate.
