So, some of you know that Lady Harriet had a serious health problem a little while ago---she wouldn't eat or drink--and it was from an infection.  Now that things are back to normal, a few issues are coming up.

1. She pukes up many wet foods, or doesn't like them.  I've found that her absolute favorite and reliable choice is Newman's Own chicken/salmon and rice.  I know it's overpriced and not grain free, but that is really the only thing that has never gotten her sick, and that she always wants.

2. She always wants wet food.  I mean, she always is chirping and making me feel like I'm starving her.  Right now she has gotten 1/2 of the small Newman cans in the morning and at night.  I want her to be able to eat dry and wet and not be unhappy.  I do not really think feeding her more of the newman's is going to work with my budget.

When I first got her (before she got sick...that was a short window of time) she would eat whatever and seemed content.  Then again, she was brand new and just getting to know Lord Wilson and her new life.

There is always some dry food out for her and LW....LW likes it far more than she does, but I do see her going to eat it every now and then (especially when I mixed some Iams dry in with the taste of the wild)

Should I be concerned?  We went back and forth to the vet so much when she was really sick and it was SO expensive that I really don't want to go back unless it is really needed.  Should I just ignore her little "I'd like some food" chirps?  I think I'm easily manipulated since, when she was sick, I would have done anything to get her to eat.

By small can, do you mean 3oz or 5.5 oz? Depending on her weight, I would think the 5.5oz would be what she needs. Of course, the dry will cut down on how much wet food she needs.

So, again, she isn't only eating the wet food...she also eats high quality dry food freely.

Today I tried the wellness beef/chicken and she gobbled it up happily and didn't get sick!  So let's see how she likes it tomorrow....

I did understand what you were saying, that she eats some dry food. I was just thinking that if you were trying to give her all wet, I would give you a guideline that would fill her up and she wouldn't beg for more food.

Oh, I see.

We were successful today with Natural Balance...she actually pushed my other cat out of the way to get to that...
