It is not normal in my experience.  Is she behaving exactly as she always does? I always err on the side of caution with the vet but if she has had no other symptoms at all, I would maybe just wait and see how things progress.  I'm not sure a vet is necessary.

When it comes to Queens I always err on the side of caution. And, in this case, I do think you need a vet visit. The main thing I would be concerned about is that she has retained a placenta or even a kitten. 9 weeks is a long time to go without having any symptoms but it's not impossible. And, if that's the case, it is very life threatening. I would also be very concerned about some other sort of vaginal infection having set in.

The bottom line is a dark colored discharge is never normal. Add the smell to it and it's almost a sure fire sign of infection. Cats are amazing at masking illness and pain and I wouldn't wait until she is acting sick to get on top of it. Especially when she still has a litter to care for!

So, as soon as is possible get her in just to be on the safe side.

Vibes that it is nothing serious. Please let us know what the vet says!

Oh I don't like the sound of that.  I  hope you were able to take her to the vet today.

Hope it's something easily dealt with.   Might as well just get her spayed now anyway .
