Good morning! Happy Friday!

Do you carry a handbag or a purse? What is it? And what do you have in it?

I have a Penny's hobo handbag that I use pretty much throughout the year. But most of the time? I just put money in my jeans pocket and go that way. I use my handbag for my phone and my Nook, more than anything. Right now, there are several pens, a small tablet, some coupons, a cash receipt from Lowes, a blue lollipop (from my niece's baby shower back at the end of March), a hair brush with a pony tail band wrapped around the bottom of it, and some change. I don't really like carrying a purse.

For work, I have a Jansport attache case (for lack of a better word). It's probably close to 20 years old now, but keeps going strong. I can put plans in it, my phone, wallet, camera, pens, paper, etc. I probably use that more often than my purse. (I even threw it into the washer one time, when Bootser puked all over it. Came out beautifully.)

You know that expression "everything but the kitchen sink"? That's my huge brown leather combination handbag/schoolbag.

Aside from stuff for school like pens, markers, notes and a calculator, I've got three different sets of keys, my smartphone, e-cigarette supplies, a couple of chargers and a power pack, a set of pocket tools, make-up, hand sanitizer, Kleenex, a hairbrush, wallet, passport case and sometimes my Kindle, a newspaper and/or a folding umbrella.

I always carry my purse. Yesterday I was mattress shopping. I carried a purple Kathy Van Zeeland handbag. It has a lot of hardware bling. I put my cell phone in one pocket and my house keys in my other jeans pocket. I do that in case someone swipes my purse. I can call someone and they don't have my house keys. In my purse is my wallet with only one major credit card and my drivers license. I don't carry insurance, medicare or other charge cards. Also in my purse is a notepad and pens, lipstick, a mirror, some cough drops, a hair pick, a pair of sunglasses in a case and a pair of reading glasses in a case. There is also a tin of Altoid mints. It is heavy.:lol3:

Normally I carry a large bag, but my current summer bag is much smaller than I am used to. It's usually overflowing. :lol3: Normally I have my wallet, keys, cellphone, hand sanitizer, pen, small notepad and my asthma inhalers. It's usually also filled with receipts that I just stuff in there. When I go on vacation, add a large camera, sometimes and extra lens, vacation brochures and info, etc.

I am one of the handbag addicts.  I just keep buying them.  Mostly I carry a large handbag and I have just about every style you can think of.  Right now tho I am carrying a white bag, I'm from the old school, June to Sept. I carry white, then go back to the darker colors
I would be at a loss without a bag on my arm or hanging from my shoulder, I've done it all my life.

What I carry in it??, well that's another story.

I carry a purse.  It could be a weapon it's so heavy!  I've got 2 wallets (small for the essentials, larger for change and what not), extra keys, a brush, several lip balms, a mirror, some lifesavers, expired coupons,  a few small books, a screwdriver, scissors, a toy car, a small stuffed dog, crayons, a small notebook, a few pens, a few empty ziplock bags, one pacifier, an epi pen and probably a whole lot of lint.  Oh!  Socks.  Can't forget those.  Sometimes my kindle fire is in there too; depending on where we are going.

That may not be all of it; but close to it I hope!

I used to carry a purse but I don't have the need to do it now. My husband is always with me and he carries my ID.so I won't lose it again.

I used to carry a large purse but after I forgot it twice [with the usual snide remarks from S.O. ] and having it snatched - [a few choice words here] I decided to see how small I really could go.  After several different trials I finally got every essential into a small 4 1/4 X 2 3/4 inch case that once held a small first aid kit.  Drivers license, handicap card, body donation card, a small address book/note pad and a small folding pen, Credit card for emergencies, several dollars in bills, a couple of my business cards, a small sample tube of denture adhesive [ essential if you are eating out ] usually a shopping list, a Bounty paper towel for any emergency [sneezes, spills, emergency toilet paper for the lack of in public toilets] and wipe-ups in a small zip-lock bag.  It's worked fine for a year now. I have it on a bead necklace and wear it around my neck, along with my cell phone.  I didn't even think I could do it, and everyone took bets that I couldn't - which only made me try harder!! Oh - forgot - a picture of S. O. [for 53 years] and Smokie.

I'm carrying a small black handbag at the moment. It takes me a year or so to find the perfect purse, the one I have now I really dislike.

I have my wallet, two epi-pens, an inhaler, Benadryl, prednisone, my grandmas wedding ring, bandages, gum, my mala, pens, a rock and a knife just in case I need to defend myself.

The medications are for my chronic hives and face swelling and the knife doesn't go into buildings where it is not allowed.

I have a 'small' collection of handbags - all over the shoulder.... numbers a bit like shoes n boots I fear:(  All bought over many years so not TOO bad.

Current one in use is a bucket sized brown one. It's got my glasses, 2 packets of tissues, Smints, a lipstick, paper fan (coz it's been too hot for me here recently),  hand sanitizer gel, a till receipt I need to take in to a shop coz I forgot my loyalty card the last time I was there, a perfume spray, mobile phone, money and cards, and my house and car keys.  Loads of room for shopping if I need fruit or anything (like sweets or ice cream if you read the 'What 's the last thing you ate thread) when I'm out
.  Use it for work as well so fits A4 documents, work mobile, work ID, and office keys - all currently in my bedroom coz I'm not in for 3 more weeks
