Since I have my cat I been using a Mr Coffee scoop. When he can back from his 6 day stay at the vet's office

his was a skinner than when he when in. So now two and half week later his is back to his normal weight. Now I do not know how It should  go about feeding him now. I was curious about how the scoop compares to my Aroma rice cooker scoop so I tried it. The scoop of  was only a half of cup of the 8 cup rice cooker cup. I did this because I Rice cooker scoop likes like the pet food cup in size. So advice please?

I would go to WalMart or similar and get a measuring cup set. It will cost a couple of dollars. That way you can be sure exactly how much he is getting.  Are you measuring dry or wet food?

My coffee scoop is 1/8. If that helps.. I feed my kittens (5 and 3mo) about 2-3 of those 3 times a day.. And they usually are hungry at each meal, but have been gaining weight to the vets liking.

Ok My boy is 1 year and three months. My walmart does not carry pet measuring cups. All the Vets around here will not give them out to owners because of the the high rate of drugs in my County.

Just buy a regular set of measuring cups. Keep them in a separate place so you don't mix them up with your regular kitchen cups. If you think your county has a high rate of drugs, my county just did a bust where they got 40 pounds of meth and arrested 31 people in a ring that had ties to a Mexican drug cartel.

I did not think you could use regular measuring cups for a cat or dog. The measurement is off or something. I am trying to keep him at his ideal weight after being fixed.

There is no "special" measurements for pet foods, so you don't need special cups. Normal measurement cups are fine, just look for the size you want. How old is he? If still a kitten he still needs to eat as much as he wants.
