My vet just passed away

I just got a phone call from my neighbor to let me know that she had read in the local paper that my vet passed away last week. I'm horrified, she was only 48 years old. It didn't say the circumstances in which she died, but I'm quite sure she wasn't ill. I was just there recently, and everything seemed fine. She was fantastic w/ animals, and had a really lovely practice right in her house. I am so sad for her loss, and for her family.

Please keep her family in your thoughts. I think she has young children and a husband that must be just devastated right now.

Oh my gosh, that's so sad.

You know, the strange thing is is that I didn't know her all that well. I've been going to her for about 4 years, but ( knock on wood ) I usually only see her at the annual visits for vaccines. And the vet techs were always the ones to do the majority of the visit for shots etc, so I didn't talk too much to her.

But all the same, I feel so sad for her children. That is such a young age for someone to pass away, and I found it so disturbing when I heard the news.

Oh my gosh...how sad! Just think about how many wonderful animals that greeted her when she passed. That just gave me chills thinking about it.
