Yesterday I noticed that my pregnant cats belly was super hard, she's about 9 weeks pregnant. I've also noticed that the kittens aren't moving that much.

Could this be a sign that she's going to go into labor soon? Or could this be a bad thing?

It can be both, but the most probable is she is delivering soon.

Keep reporting and asking questions (and reading on!)

Good luck!

Agreed that it sounds like she is getting close to labor. There is often a decrease in kitten movement as they descend into the horns for delivery.

That said, because we can't see her we have no way to know. If she doesn't have them in the next few days or becomes lethargic/distressed (outside of pregnancy sleepiness and mood swings) then call your vet for further advisement. Be sure you have your birthing kit ready and listen to your gut. If something feels wrong then err on the side of caution and call the experts!

Vibes for a safe and healthy delivery!

All she really has been doing is laying down. She's been really affectionate, rolling on her back wanting me to rub her belly. I also noticed today that she's having a little bloody discharge, is this normal?

This is her!

A little bit of bloody discharge prior to labor is normal, so long as there is no odor with it. If it smells sour or fishy you would want to have her seen by a vet, as it's a sign of an infection. You would also want her seen if she starts bleeding heavily, and if the blood is a really bright red.

But, if it's just a little bit of dark red/brown odorless discharge then it is very much a sign of impending labor. Though, that could still be a matter of hours to days. The waiting game is definitely the most agonizing part, especially if you don't know when she was inseminated.

Just try to keep the stress level in the house low. Cats are sensitive to our energy and if she picks up on you being stressed it can prolong her going into labor.  They will come when they are ready!

Keep reading and keep preparing as best you can. Good luck!

I'm pretty sure her water broke, I don't know when though because I was asleep. How long after her water breaks does she go into labor?
