So the stray I adopted had kittens last night. She had five in the evening but despite our best efforts one didn't make it. She had two more after we thought she was done during the night. I have been checking in on the kittens. She doesn't seem to mind even when I pick one up, but when I start to walk away she bites my feet. Why would she only be aggressive after I am done checking on them? Is there anything I can do to get her to stop?

Congrats to the kittens! So they are 6 kittens now, right? Sorry for that one who didnt make it.

I hope you will weigh them every day, easiest on a scale measuring in grammes, and easiest on an electronical scale.  Kitchen- or mail one.

This biting your feet is surely not aggressive.  I suspect she wants you to stay.

Or possibly, it is some sort of play, like they sometimes do play with pretending to bite your feet.

Good luck!

Ok thank you I'm glad she's not being aggressive. There are 6 now and we have an electronic kitchen scale we are using.
