Ever have a curious question that's been nagging you, but don't want to make your own thread to ask it? Well, here's the place! Any question at all!

First question up: If a kitten has been abandoned from Mom as soon as she was born.. does that kitten still 'knead' or make biscuits when she gets older?

I'd say 'yes' as I think it is instinctive.

Do we now come up with one ourselves, or can I take a rain-check on it?

This thread is a wonderful idea!

I agree that it's instinctive.

My question is, do any of you think long haired cats are snobbish or more likely to bully than short haired cats?
Literally as I ask this my youngest long haired cat is again harassing one of the other kitties. It's always the two with long hair that start stuff with everyone else, they all get along for the most part though.

i believe long haired cats thinks they're more beautiful.

Nah, I think it depends on the cat's personality.. I've never had a long haired cat to judge!

I can imagine, them having long hair, they dont feel the pain as much as the shorthairs.  And thus, never learned the imagination rough play may hurt.

But really, I think is is pure coincidence here, SuagarSandz, as I dont have heard about this earlier.

I think kneading is instinctive and have no idea if long-haired cats are snobs or bullies. :lol3:

Are cats who spent time in a shelter more likely to be little gluttons than cats who didn't? Mogli is as bad or worse than any shelter dog we've had. He even stole and ate freshly picked red currants Saturday.

My Rainbow kitty, Ali (Alexis) was a long haired tuxedo and I definitely think she was a snob. She actually knew how pretty she was and walked around wiggling her little butt. If BJ tried to nuzzle her she'd smack him in the face and wiggle away. (BJ is also at Rainbow Bridge). Poor BJ tried to hard and she'd only cuddle wih him when something frightened her.

in transition...
What a great idea for a thread!

Here's something I've always wondered: why does the fur between a cat's eyes and ears get thin?

Not sure about rolling in cat litter.. but the fur between eyes and ears are thin because that's where the scent glands are.. it allows their scent to be transferred when they head but!
