I want to switch my 2 guys to wetfood only -IF I can afford it.

currently they eat natures variety instinct (rabbit now but usually chicken ) dry and get about 1/4 can (5ounce can) of wetfood. I switch it up, but right now its best feline friends. Next it will be the big cans of wellness. (ill give them 1/6 can so it will last three days as I wont keep it longer than that). They hardly eat and rarely finish their wet food so usually that serving of wet will last them two days anyways.. but it just depends. This diet costs me about 25 or so for dry (50 dollar bag lasts two months or more) and maybe 25 in wet food.. My budget is 50 for the cats per month so im right on track but I would like them to eat just wet.

The only downside being when I go away over night ill have to leave dry out and hope they will eat It I guess.

anyways what are some cheap wet foods that are decent? My guys wont eat grains and I try not to give them much fish. I pay 2.25 for a big can of wellness.. but according to the chart I need to feed half a can to misty and 1 can to diago so that's costly.

Well, one thing to know is that the cans AND bags usually tell you to feed more than you really need to feed
.  So, how much to feed is really hard to say.  And I have found that where I buy my food really makes a difference.  I can find the 13 oz cans of Wellness at one store for $1.99, then at another for $2.79, so it pays to shop around, because over a month, that can really add up.  But for a 5.5 oz can of the same Wellness, I have to pay $1.49 at the cheapest place I shop, so I always try to get it in the largest size (13 oz)

As for what's good, it's all up to what your cat's will eat.  It's great that they like grain free, but there are lots of grain free foods...do they like them all?  Mine are extremely picky!

Now, Fancy Feast CLASSICS (only the Classics) and some of the Friskies PATE (only the Pate) are actually grain free, although some of the flavors that don't say fish  DO contain it so you have to read the ingredients, AND they contain "by-products", but particularly with the Fancy Feast, most cats love it, and it's very cost friendly.

Soulistic (Petco's brand), is also grain free, but they don't have too many flavors that don't contain fish.  They have a couple, though, so it might be worth trying.  I'm sure Petsmart has their own brand too, that is grain free, just can't recall the name.  What I don't know, though, is if you are in an area with either of these big box stores.

I'm sure others will be along shortly to give you some ideas too.

Try Amazon. That was the lowest I could find Wellness for me. And if you sign up for the Subscribe & Save program, you get an extra discount. Just be sure you kitties will eat it since online you have to get it by the case.

Another place I found cheap food at was a local adoption store. They are non-profit. At the time they were selling By Nature for $1.39 plus the store clerk said I could try to talk to the manager and get a bulk discount if I bought a case. Unfortunately they don't carry that brand anymore.

Innova EVO Cat and Kitten is about $1.69 for a 13oz can. I also don't think BFF is a good choice because all their flavors contain fish.
