Prego just seems to be such a happier cat since she's been spayed and de-flea'd. I got her to play tonite, I thought I would make a seperate thread for this because I think its special. The story of her and the other ferals is in my thread "Question about trapping".

She tried to run off with the feather! LOL! I had to chase her like hey that's Zoey and Saki's feather
you cant steal that!

I hope to pet her one day

I dont believe anyone lost her unfortunatly.. I believe she was one of the litters that were born here amoungst the ferals.
Her face looks tortie to me.. like she's a tortie siamese mix or something. You should see this other gorgeous siamese looking kitten. I think its her baby. I swear it looks like a show cat. That one and I think 2 others are the last that we are trying to trap, We've trapped 5 cats already and have had them spayed and returned

Sicy!!! U are making much faster progress with Prego than I am with Callie!! I have been feeding and taking care of Callie for over a year now and I still can't get close enough to touch/pet her. The only way I can get Callie to play with the feather is through the glass sliding door! Whenever I open the door to try to play with her IN PERSON with the feather toy she won't come near.. You must have a magic touch with cats to get them to trust u this quickly.
Good job!

I'm hoping to take some pics of Callie and how she'd play with the feather toy this weekend so I will post it here in ferals colonies forum when I can.

It really is amazing. I mean in the beginning if I even got near the door she would run away.. far away. Little by little I could come outside and she would run, but only to the other side of the patio. Then I was able to sit on the patio while she ate. That was a big accomplishment too. Then the laser light, I could play with her with that on the patio but she would stay far away.

It's just amazing that even after what she's been through, getting trapped here and spayed and returned.. that she still is coming back here and actually seems to trust me more. She has always admired the feather when I'm playing inside with my cats so I thought, hey, I'll try it outside.. cant hurt!
I think it will still be a long time before I can pet her though.

Nice work your doing (and did) with Prego. Congrads.

She does look happy and healthy.

Hope she'll be part of the family soon (maybe the possible kitten of hers too).

Kudo's to all those who take care of ferals and strays.

Oh My...she's gorgeous! Kudos to you Sicy! Bless you for helping those kitties...I wish there were more out in the world like you!

Maybe you can keep the progress up & find her a good loving home. Since she's such a beauty, I'm sure someone would adopt her in a heart beat!

Give her time & I'm sure she'll come around. Look how far you've gotten in such a short time! That's a great accomplishment right there!

Prego swatted at my hand tonite LOL
I was playing with the feather again on the patio and I got her to play reallly close to me, like right by my feet. So I would stop and hold out my hand to her when she was close. In the past she backs off when I try to extend my hand to her. But tonite she looked at it, got a bit closer and swatted my hand with her paw! I dont know if she was trying to play or trying to hurt me .. lol. Either way she touched me and I think that's kinda cool. she did this twice.

well at least she is getting closer. My guys do that, playful fighting kinda. It sounds like you are making really good progress with her! It is so nice of you to spend time with her. I bet she really enjoys having human contact even if she isn't acting like it yet

I can honestly tell she does enjoy it! She waits for me on the patio after she eats so I go out with the feather and now she comes right over to the feather! She tries to grab it in her mouth and steal it
She's a cutie. It's exciting to make progress!!
