New here

OK I have never used a forum before, but I have found myself reading and using much of the great advice posted here, so I decided it was time that I just sign up already. I am a mommy of many critters! Three dogs, two cats, a finch, two rats, and a turtle. Currently working tame a semi feral kitten that I named Strax (after a Doctor Who character who is a member of a Warrior race, but became a friend. I find it suitable for a wild kitty turned pet).

Anyway, I just wanted to say hi. So... Hi.

This is my Strax. And a pic of our first bit if BIG progress... When he took food from my fingers. Today, I noticed an actual "content" purr, rather than the "trying to calm himself down" purr. And he sat in my lap for a bit before excusing himself back to his "cave."

Aww, Strax is adorable. And sitting on your lap is huge progress.
