I am looking for a cat tree for my 3 babies. Well, Demon and Violet mostly, but who knows, maybe Belle will like it too. I have looked all over Amazon and Petsmart and all the reviews I am seeing say that the tree is too small for cats about 13 lbs or so. What have you all seen or purchased for the bigger babies out there?

My cat tree is from Armarkat and has held roughly 30lb of cat on the very top perch when both girls have gotten up there at the same time.  This has happened several times.  At their peak they were about 14.5lb and 15.5lb.  The 15.5lber is down it 14lb now and the other is down; but not as much.  Anyway; they both still get up there together sometimes. They also fit inside the little cubby thing that you'd think they wouldn't!  In the cooler months they take turns spending a lot of time in it now.  The only thing they never used was the hammock; and they were both thin when we first had the tree.  I used that to store their toys. http://www.armarkat.com/classic-cat-tree-a6202/

I would physically go into petsmart to see.  I know some trees are small but others are fine.  I have many cats and armarkat is ok size wise but does not last more then 2 years.  Petco near me sells mainly boxed you put together sets(they used to have more all set up furniture but seem to be doing the boxed sets.

I have some 15-20lb cats who seem to be happy with what looks like to small cubbies/tunnels.Petsmart near me tends to have a tree on clearance often enough so I tend to grab them(it is usually the last of a model they no longer sell.)

Be careful as online I bought a knockoff that was cardboard on top post so it started to fall apart easily.  Also online petsmart has some trees listed for ALOT more then store price.  For awhile there was a tree listed online for over 100 what it was in store.

My Aunt has 2 and Mom has 3 and hold up just fine under "normal" use lol.  I have to say after the years of use I get out of them they are worth the money.  Heck I was watching my neighbors kids who tried to climb it!

I am also using Armarkat.  I find they have the best price for the size.  I've had two actually and they are both really good as long as you choose something with a more "sturdy" bottom for your bigger cats.
