My 4 month old female puppy and 4 year old male neutered cat have become very different with my queen (pregnant) cat. My puppy will try and chase her all around the house and she does not like that, they used to get along pretty well until a few weeks ago. My male cat is down right mean to her, they used to share food/water dishes and a littler box but I've had to buy her all new things because he won't let her go near the original ones. And he attacks her whenever he sees her, biting her neck and back. Is this normal? She now keeps to my basement or bedroom but that could be because she's due any day now.

The behavior from both puppy and the male not the most common, but happens.

The male cats (Leo, right?) biting of neck and back seems to be some sort of dominant behavior.  Or possibly, a clumsy mating behavior.  He knows it has something with bite to do, but dont remember exactly how and where.

Anyway,  she needs to be separated from both of these.  If they were best friends, we would discuss if you could them be together into motherhood.  But this is not so here, so please continue to the standard proceedings for moms to be.

Let her have her own room, bedroom OR basement.   Which will be her safety room. Non disturbed by anyone, save  with supervised visits by your children, and of course yourself.

Her nesting box, her day-laying place, litter, food, water, some toys, a scratching post... such.

also, a scale measuring in grammes, to weigh the kittens every day.   :)

her carrier, if you must rush her or some of kittens to the vet.

And dont let her out from now, till the kittens are weaned and she is spayed.  Which will be typically done when the kittens are 8+ weeks, the spaying can be done a little earlier if necessary.

Please, continue with your reports and questions!

Good luck!
