Has anyone found an organic baby food with minimal ingredients?  I previously used the Safeway O Organics chicken baby food but I've been using Gerber since that ran out.  I've asked a friend who lives near a Safeway to check if they still have it and apparently, at least at his store, they don't.  We looked at the Beech-nut brand online and the sodium appeared to be much higher than Gerber.  Gerber has cornstarch and isn't organic either, though.  Has anyone found a better baby food?  It's the best way to get my cat's supplements into him and he loves it but I want a healthier source of meat.  It's something he consumes twice a day..

I use Beechnut because it only has meat in it. . .but it isn't organic. The sodium is only 25 mg so I don't really know how it could be lower. I have looked at natural food stores but it seems like meat baby foods are fairly rare---lots of organic fruit and veggie baby foods but no meat!

I also use Beechnut because it has only meat and water, no lemon juice, cornstarch, etc.

I'd rather the babyfood be only those ingredients, than be organic and have superflurous ingredients.

Do you have a blender? You can just make your own with organic chicken and then use ice cube trays to freeze it portions you want. When frozen, dump the cubes in a bag. Take out one at a time, stick in a baggie or small container to dethaw in the fridge or quickly, in lukewarm/cool water.

Just poach the chicken. Chop or shred it, and add the "broth" slowly as you blend until it is the consistency you want.

...or just use Beechnut. :)

I was leaning towards just making my own and the ice cube tray tip is awesome.  Thanks.
