I recently took in a stray cat that showed up around my house. She was already pregnant when she arrived. I was wondering when she was going to have her kittens. I first noticed the kittens moving about ten days ago. I do plan to have her spayed after she has them. What else would be indicators that she is close? Also is there anyway to guess how many kittens she is going to have? Thanks

You can usually feel the kittens move about 14 days before the delivery, so count from this. About 4 days?  But the exactly hour is impossible to know.

Depends also if you did feel over her every day, and also, how experienced you are...

How many?  If you are fairly experienced, you can feel it. Or if you know somebody who is.

We do NOT recommend  X-rays here by vet.  Ultrasound perhaps, if you are eager.

So now you do have a couple of days to read on, and prepare.

The other thread in this forum has a wealth of practical knowledge. There are articles here...

You can also look at youtube films.

Good luck!

Thanks so much! I wouldn't want to stress her out so I think I will just be patient and see how many she has.
