It's Chumley's 3rd "Home Forever" day....

Chumley has several "gotcha" days to choose from: the day he was trapped and not released to the TNR colony; the day we found out he was FIV+ so couldn't go to the foster network; the day we decided he would be moving here full time; and the day he DID move here full time. :lol3:

Chum was a "3 or 4" year old feral when trapped. He was in terrible shape health-wise, and was so relieved to be rescued. He was scared, but never tried to bolt the door or leave or find a way out. :rub: Living in the RV, we had no way to make slow introductions other than by giving him his own place to live for a little while. We rented a trailer for him. :lol3: When we decided he was moving here, we started scent swapping, and then bringing him over here for short periods of time, that got longer and longer. On this day, three years ago, he never went back to "his" trailer: he was home. :heart2:









...and the milestone: sleeping on my leg. :heart2:


Chum is still a little shy with hands, but he actively seeks out pets (I pet him with my head, though more and more with hands now!), and he has the biggest, rumbliest purr! Love our chunkey monkey!

AWWWWWWWW Chunky Monkey... :heart3: I love you so. :heart3: CONGRATULATIONS ON "ONE" of you official GOTCHA DAYS!!!!!!!!! :heart2: :heart3: Such a lucky boy and I think momma feels pretty darn lucky too. He is one gorgeous boy and has one of the BEST kitty smiles in the world. :happy3:

p.s. If you look at his facial expression in the first picture and compare to the second and moreso in the third picture............ well........... (I have happy tears!) no words are needed. His expression says it all - joy, peace, happiness, comfort, safety, relief, FOOD FOOD, family, love and companionship. FOREVER. :rub: :rub: :heart2: :sun:

He IS smiling. He has that big, fat tom cat head, because he was so old when neutered - his cheeks are HUGE, really thick and meaty. And when he's happy - which is frequently now :lol3: , he has just the most amazing smile. :lovegrin2:

And he IS the biggest sweetie ever.

Did I say I totally and completely love that boy? :lol3:
