This is Honey. She is a regular cat who we got from the Humane Society where she was dropped off when her owner died. She had been declawed front and back and was very fearful when we got her. In this picture she weighs about 4.5 pounds, now she weighs 6 pounds. She has lived with me and my husband for 6 years now and likes to be with us all the time.

I have been worried about her weight since we got her so I bought a food scale and taught her to stand on it by using catnip. She eats K/D dry but I am transitioning her to canned cat food. She's very picky at what she eats. She loves fresh catnip which I grow for her. In the winter she comes with us to Florida where she loves to watch the birds. She also likes the catnip down there.

This is Honey exploring on her first day in Florida. You can tell by her tail she is not quite at ease. But she came to enjoy the patio. Of course she never went near the pool. I have a million pictures of her so perhaps I will post more.

Thank you, Catspaw.  We used to leave her with a trusted friend who lived in our house. Last year was the first year we took her with us. We flew from an airport close to us to an airport close to our rental. I think the noise upset her the most although we were allowed to take her out of the carrier and have her on our laps. It was about 6 hours door-to-door. My husband felt she was distressed enough, that we gave her a vet-prescribed sedative for the trip back and she slept most of the way.
