I'm not sure if this is even where this post should go or not, but it not can someone let me know?

So, my family decided that we would be getting a cat, but not for another month. However, there was a local adoption event this past weekend and we decided to take a look around. Little did we know, we would fall in love with one of the kittens. About 45 minutes later, we knew she was going to go home with us.

We have paid for her and learned about her care/ vet visits/ etc., but we wont be bringing her home until Saturday because she still needed another shot. She also isn't spayed yet, but we will be getting that done as soon as we can.

Her name is Charlotte, but we think Nala is a better fitting name. Here are some pictures. These are the shelters pictures so they are from like five weeks ago.

Sadly it wasnt so smooth and less than 24 hours and she was in the emergency vet clinic. She also might have fleas which are easily treated, but im worried about my bedding. But it looks like we caugh it really early. Anyway, wasnt so great, but one look at her face and i remember how many years of love will come after this rough patch.

Oh, poor you. Good you spotted Nala wasn't doing well and rushed her to the vets in time.  I hope your baby's feeling better and not too traumatized
Did the vets give any advice on treating your home for flees when she's so young?

May this be the start of all those years of love and laughs - and having had such a memorable start it will feel even more precious.

For the fleas, not yet. We have to wait to see a vet until later today. Hopefully they will give us some medication for her and then I plan on washing all bedding and extra things in hot water. and vacummning too!

I just hope we don't end up having a problem, because she has been contained in my room and i dont want to have to bomb my room. And we have two dogs, they are on flea medicine so they are ok, but I dont want it to spread to the rest of the house. And honestly, I just dont want it in my room! It grosses me out!

Thanks... I know after these first couple weeks things will start to get better.
