My name is Lizzy and I am new to this place. I live with my two cats (hence, my name lol) in Raleigh, NC and I am in my thirties. I am a huge animal lover, and if I could, I would probably get a farm out in the middle of the country and raise pigs, and cows, and chickens along with cats and dogs. None of them to eat, of course.. you never eat the ones you love (unless your name is Hannibal.. sorry, haha joke there.. I have a weird sense of humor). Like I mentioned, I love all animals, and I really love dogs too, and I took a special interest in spaniels, especially English Springer and Brittany Spaniels. I would really like to have some as companions again some day. I used to have a English Springer named Blanche but she passed away too soon (from complications due to surgery to remove anal glands), and I was devastated. My Brittany Spaniel, Maggie May (lol yup), passed away at 17, so I am glad she lived pretty long. Since this is a cat site, I will tell you about my kitties... the loves of my life - my main coon, Chloe has the personality of a human and sometimes acts like a dog.. she is sweet, nutty and mischievous all in one. I always wonder what she is thinking. My grey tabby, Lucy, is just about as crazy as one cat can get. I actually found her by wandering into a pet rescue one day just to see what kind of kitties they had, and I fell in love. Lucy is a laugh-a-minute because she is always doing something weird or unexpected. She has run into walls (she sometimes can't stop her feet soon enough) or glass doors, or fallen off of things, but she always ends up to be okay... she is THE CLUMSIEST cat I have ever seen, and proves that cats do NOT always land on their feet. Poor Baby! I will probably pose some cat behavior questions on here, because my cats are nuts, but I can't wait to dig into this site, it looks great! I actually found it because I was doing a search on cat rescues in my area to volunteer at.
