Hi there!

I am new to this and saw lots of support and information and thought I would join.  I have had several cats in my adult life.  Right now we have Cleo (almost 3), our pretty grey shelter rescue and Cricket (14 months), our little striped dark colored stray we found when she was little.

Both our cats were "raised" by our Rottweiler mix Rosie (7 1/2)  And they are all house pets.  I don't believe in sending our pets outside as they are truly members of our family.  We had house guests a couple months ago and our baby Cricket got out.  So here we are 2 months later and we have kittens on the way. I will assure all that she will be fixed as soon as the babies are weaned.

Having never had a pregnant cat before, I certainly appreciate any help and advice.  I posted in the pregnant and kittens section about my almost out of control fear that I will miss the birth or she will some how be harmed in the birthing process.  Or that the babies will not make it.

I have slept on the sofa for 9 days now just to make sure that I don't miss her if she needs me.  I am sure that sound irrational but, I am more nervous about her pending delivery than I was my own 20 years ago!

Well thanks for reading my story!  I look forward to getting to know everyone.

:) Kari
